What is Bone Densitometry?

Bone Densitometry is an examination of the lower spine and hip to measure the strength or density of the bones.  The complete procedures take approximately 10 minutes and involves no pain, needles or tunnels.  A radiologist interprets the results and a report is faxed to your physician within 24 hours and mailed to you within three to five business days.  A physician referral is required.  To make an appointment at the Aurora or Yorkville facility, call 630-978-6750.
