Meet Our Residents

 

Abrar Husain, M.D., Chief Resident, is a graduate of Ross University. He enjoys tennis, golf, movies, music, basketball and football. He knows basic medical Spanish and basic conversational Urdu. Dr. Husain also enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.  

 

Robert Sedlacek, M.D., is a graduate of Rush Medical College.  Dr. Sedlacek interests include web publishing, reading, writing, photography, traveling and cooking. He is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.  

 

 

Mohammed Yousuf, M.D., is a graduate of American University of The Caribbean, Netherlands Antilles. Dr. Yousuf is fluent in Urdu and enjoys spending his time playing basketball, football and volleyball.


 

Brian Adrian, Ph.D., M.D., is a graduate of Medical School of the Americas, Nevis, West Indies and has his doctorate in physiology from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Adrian's career plans include practicing primary care medicine in a rural, underserved community.  He has his black belt in free-style Tae Kwon Do, enjoys distance running, sailing, hiking, cooking, gardening and spending time with his wife and children.


Elmer Linboom, M.D., grew up in rural Sterling, Illinois and received a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from Northern Illinois University.  He lives in Sugar Grove with his wife and three children. Dr. Linboom enjoys gardening, hiking/camping, traveling and spending time at home. His interests within family medicine include rural and preventative medicine.
Neha Kapil, M.D., is a graduate from St. Matthew's University. She can speak Hindi and basic conversation Spanish. In her free time she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. She has a special interest in Adolescent Medicine and is planning to pursue a fellowship after graduation.
Daniel Novella, M.D.,  was born in Lima, Peru, and speaks fluent Spanish.  He graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville South High School, College of DuPage, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.  In medical school, Dr. Novella volunteered for the Student-Run Free Clinic and in community health fair to give Chicago's underserved access to health care.  In his free time, he enjoys working out, spending time with his wife, playing with his rescued puppy, grilling on the deck, and going out for sushi.
Jeremy Wong, M.D., graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Loyola University, Chicago. He is fluent in Cantonese and speaks some Mandarin.  Dr. Wong was born in Canton, China and moved to Chicago 18 years. ago. Dr. Wong has a strong desire to help patients in the hospital setting. In his spare time, he likes to swim and play table tennis.
Niraj Shah, M.D., grew up in rural, Gujarat, India, and has lived mostly in the mid-west for the past 15 years. He graduated from University of Michigan Engineering at Ann Arbor, University of Toledo, and Saint James School of Medicine. He can speak Gjarati, Hindi and Sanskrit. He enjoys “Swadhayaya”, a socio-spiritual group, traveling, yoga, cricket, and distance running. He has wide interests in preventive medicine, adolescent psychology and sports medicine. He has a dream to open up a free clinic in India or Africa.
Bharat Pal, M.D., is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. Raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Pal attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School and then went on to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to complete his Bachelors degree. He enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with his wife.
Amit Agarwal, M.D., is a graduate of Medical University of Lublin in Poland. Studying in a different country has helped him gain a different perspective towards patients.  Dr. Agarwal is fluent in Hindi and he enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as watching and playing sports.
